Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Bible Way Tabernacle based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
The Father
- Creator of the heavens and the earth.
(Genesis 1:1)
- He is all-powerful and all-knowing, yet perfect and loving.
(Psalm 147:5, 1 John 4:7-8)
- God is perfect, He has no evil or sin in Him, and never causes us to sin. (Psalm 18:30, James 1:13, 1 John 1:5)
- God was not created, but is eternal, never having a beginning or end.
(John 5:26)
The Son
- God came to us in the form of Jesus Christ and bridged the gap between God and man.
(John 1:1, John 1:14, Matthew 1:23)
- Jesus has always existed with the Father.
(John 8:58)
- He is the image of God and through Him all things were created.
(Colossians 1:15-17)
- He lived a perfect life as a sinless Savior.
(1 Peter 2:21-23)
- He is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies that speak of a Messiah/Savior.
(Luke 4:20-21, Isaiah 53, 1 Peter 2:22-24, Hebrews 13:8, and so many more)
(John 1:1, John 1:14, Matthew 1:23)
- Jesus has always existed with the Father.
(John 8:58)

The Holy Spirit
- God's Holy Spirit is the way in which God convicts the world of sin, righteousness, judgement of sin,
and leads us into truth, all to the glory of God as He leads us closer to the Father.
(John 16:9-15)
- He helps us in our weakness by helping us pray and intercedes for us before the Father according to God's will.
(Romans 8:26-27)
- He is the way God will speak to us, anoint us, empowers us to do His good work as He leads us to truth, and seals our salvation.
(John 14:26, 1 Corinthians 1:21-22)
- He empowers us to live a transformed life.
(Galatians 5:22-26)
and leads us into truth, all to the glory of God as He leads us closer to the Father.
Salvation
- Every single person has sinned and fallen away from God's glory. We all need salvation. This is what sin is, to "miss the mark."
(Romans 3:23)
- Sin must be judged. Sin only brings death and separates us from God, who is perfect.
(Romans 2:12, Romans 6:23)
- Jesus took the punishment for our sin, becoming the perfect sacrifice to take our place in judgement.
(2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22-24, 1 John 2:1-2)
- Jesus' death paid the price for our sin, and His resurrection on the third day allows us to live a new life with Him both now and for all of eternity.
(John 19:29-30, Romans 6:4)
- Our works do not save us, it is by the gift of God's grace through the blood of Jesus Christ that we are saved. All we have to do is have faith and believe in His grace.
(John 3:16-19, Ephesians 2:8-10)
- "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9)
- "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
(John 14:6)
Baptism
- Water baptism is the outward declaration of the cleansing work of Christ's salvation in our life. As Jesus was buried and raised into new life, baptism shows how we are washed in the power of His blood and are made new in His grace.
(Romans 6:3-4, Acts 2:38, Hebrews 28:19, Galatians 3:26-29, 1 Corinthians 12:13)
Eternity
- One day Jesus will return and set up His kingdom on earth, winning the final victory.
(Revelation 19:11-16)
- Everyone will be judged by God according to their actions.
(Revelation 20:11-12)
- Those who have faith in Jesus and have received His grace will enter into the paradise of Heaven.
(Revelation 21:1-7, Luke 23:42-43, John 14:1-6)
- Those who have not put their faith in Jesus and received His grace and salvation will enter into the torment of Hell.
(Revelation 21:8, Revelation 20:13-15, Matthew 22:1-14)
Gifts of the Spirit
- The gifts of God's Spirit are still at work today just as they were with the disciples and the early church. There are gifts of healing, prophecies, discernment, and the speaking and interpretation of tongues, all of which are done to edify, strengthen and minister to the church.
(1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
